Race Day!

Today was the Ocean City Half Marathon that Brandon, Rachel, Rachel's sister Greta and Myself all ran! This was my second half marathon and a first for the rest of them...so they were very excited..as was I! All of your training finally pays off when race day comes:) The race started at 7am, and we had be be ready to go and lined up at 6:45am. We woke up around 4:30am so we could get a good hearty breakfast in. My last half I got to run with my two best friends Cait and Rach, and knowing from that experience, oatmeal is a great choice for breakfast! Brandon also chose a good breakfast..but I went with the oatmeal!

A Day At Work...

I was talking to my best friend Cait the other day and she gave me a great idea to take some pictures of where I work so she could finally picture in her head what my workplace looks like. It is so true how we all imagine and picture of what we think other peoples houses or work places look like, but when we actually see pictures or visit in person it is nothing like we imagined! So here is a little tutorial of my work place....

If you come in you may need some orthotics....
 Or even a walking boot!!
This is where we keep all our snacks!
And there you have it...my work place!
I am very blessed and love my job. I feel I am getting very confident and good at what I am doing, and constantly learning something new everyday!:)

He Has Risen

"The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

He has Risen Indeed!! What a wonderful day of celebration, family, friends, and of course the food!! I cannot be more thankful for the time I got to spend with my family and friends today....I am truly blessed:) This morning..to go along with the tradition of dying eggs, we have another tradition! Every Easter morning, my sister and I have to find our hidden Easter baskets! Since my sister is still in Spain, my mom made a basket for Brandon, and lucky him he got to participate in this fun haha. After some searching we both found our baskets!:)
After digging into our goodies, we headed off to church in our Sunday best!
Brandon went with the salmon colored eastery shirt...
I went with a dress (considering it was 82 degrees!!)
Easter Love
After church it was home to a house full of food, family and fun!!!
My lunch...I tried a little of everything!
Brandons plate..can't even see the bottom!
He was so excited to eat he couldn't hold in the excitement!!
Once our stomaches settled and once the boys were done watching baseball, we got ready for..let me just say it again..another tradition! haha The Lawrence Easter Egg Hunt!:) This is a big deal in my family, I don't know why, but we have always had an easter egg hunt since we were young, rain or shine! Luckily today was SHINE! I mean you can never be to old for an Easter egg hunt, and now that we are all older, there is some money involved..only in the golden eggs!:) It was nice to be outside, run around the yard, and act like a 5 year old again! Rachel and Jordan came over as well!

Here I am taking this very seriously...sweating actually.
 Rachel looking hard!
The gang and our golden eggs...well except Jordan...maybe next year ha
Can I just say again what a great day this was...not only celebrating our King, but spending time with a family I am so blessed to have! We were all exhausted when the day came to an end.
 Even Sprite:)

HAPPY EASTER:)

My Good Friday Was Good:)

Yesterday was such a fun productive day! Rachel and I got in a good run in the morning, then brandon came around lunchtime:) We did a couple things around the house, then Rachel and Jordan came over for some Easter festivities. We decided to dye easter eggs...this is something that I have done every Easter since I was young...it's tradition. Even though my parents were gone, I took charge in hard boiling the eggs and got everything ready, I was not going to not dye these eggs ha. Well, I found out that Rachel and Jordan had both NEVER dyed easter eggs...what a poor childhood they must of had lol just kidding but really. We all had a lot of fun and the newbies were experts!
