Spain or Bust

Very exciting that my mom, dad and my aunt are all traveling to Spain on friday to visit my sister Nadia who is studying abroad for the semester. Although this is a happy time for them...i kinda got shafted...hence the bust. Traveling, passports, hotels, restaurants, beaches, shopping, trains, historical museums....must be nice...all I have to say is I hope I get a good souvenir :) While my family is traveling through Europe, I on the other hand will be taking care of our 14 year old, Jack Russell, Sprite. Yes I know, you may think...really? why not a kennel or get someone to watch her...yes you think that would be simple...but Sprite comes with some, lets say..baggage. Sprite has a chronic sinus infection, diabetes, a couple warts, and a small mass on her "lady part".  She is old..but sometimes acts as if she is still 4 years old.  She is the queen of the house, she sleeps with my parents, she does not like to to picked up, she is obsessed with eating...although she is the size of a needle (you would think the diabetes would make her large and in charge...large no..in charge she thinks so), and she sleeps a lot. So yes I will be here taking care of her for 1 week and 2 days. OH NOT TO MENTION....since she has diabetes..she needs to be given a shot of insulin twice a day...one in the morning and one at night. Meet sprite...

Awful pictures of her...but just wanted you to get a visual ha

The tools: syringes, sinus antibiotic, insulin, and medical waste bin

On a much happier note Mom took me grocery shopping to get me started for long period of time I will be home by myself..luckily my best friend Rachel will be staying with me:)
Some Fun Snacks
 Fruits and Veggies
Turkey Burger for several different meals

most importantly...a good game, some magazines, movies and netflix, and don't forget the egg dying kit for easter!

I am actually looking forward to a fun week with some good friends, taking care of the house, cooking and doing all the motherly things that my mom normally does:) I have a lot of fun things planned for the next two weekends...I am even going to attempt to make a homemade Oreo cheesecake for our family get together on Easter Sunday. Stay tuned:)
