Homemade Kettle Korn..YUM

WOW! It has been a while..so sorry for the delay, this past weekend was crazy with my family gone and I did not get a chance to take any pictures, along with this past week...it's been a busy one. But today I had a half day of work and off tomorrow for Good Friday and a fun easter weekend ahead, which means... lots of relaxing, picture taking and fun!:) Today I am home relaxing and was craving a favorite treat of mine..Kettle Corn Popcorn! I made this from scratch last week and it was very delicious so I wanted to share.

You will need:
1/4 cup Vegetable oil
1/4 cup White Sugar
1/2 cup of un-popped kernels
Salt

1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large heavy bottom pot over medium heat. While heating add three kernels of the popcorn to the oil.
2. Once the three kernels have popped, you now know your oil is hot and ready. Next you can add the sugar, mix around well then add 1/2 cup of kernels and cover with lid.
3. Shake pot over heat ( may need to wear oven mits) for about 20-25 sec or until popping slows down.
        4.  Remove from heat. You can take off the lid and add salt as desired, put back on the lid and shake the pot to mix. Pour into a bowl and enjoy:)
This was a quick and easy snack to make...unless you decide to be serious and make it like this....not to bring back memories or anything...but this was seriously hard work! We made homemade kettle corn for a fundraiser for our lacrosse team freshman and sophomore year!!
My turn to stir!
Now it is Caits turn...but first a picture!
What great memories!! Now, I am off to watch Despicable Me, thanks to netflix, and eat some of this delicious popcorn:) Stay tuned for more posts on my Easter weekend!
